And then there was shock and disbelief...

Almost two weeks after their "Letter to Customers" announcing their realignment and restructuring, the following AP story was picked up by Mobile's CBS affiliate WKRG News 5 on February 18, 2009.  The article states that Bruno's Supermarkets, LLC, would be closing 10 stores in the state of Alabama over the next 30 to 60 days.  The closings would include both Bruno's and Food World stores, but none of these stores were located in Mobile.  In fact, the most proximate store closing was over in Fairhope.
